WHO WE ARE
Bakerwood Research Services is responsible for the personal information collected for its voluntary research participant panel.
WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect contact details, confirmation that you are aged 18 or over, broad location, employment or professional background, household and lifestyle information you choose to provide, research interests, availability, communication preferences, consent records and relevant recruitment history. Sensitive information is not required to join and will only be collected where genuinely necessary and separately agreed.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information to register and manage panel membership, identify relevant research opportunities, contact you through agreed channels, assess eligibility, organise participation and agreed incentives, respond to privacy requests, and maintain appropriate security and consent records. Joining does not guarantee invitations or participation.
YOUR CONSENT AND CHOICES
Panel membership and future research contact are voluntary. Optional phone, text or messaging contact is permissioned separately. Special-category information requires separate explicit consent where appropriate. You can decline any invitation, update your details or leave at any time.
DATA RETENTION: 12 MONTHS
We keep participant information for up to 12 months after your last meaningful engagement. At the 12-month review, unnecessary records are deleted or anonymised, or we ask you to renew your permission. Limited suppression, finance or legal records may be retained separately where necessary and justified.
SHARING AND SECURITY
Participant information is stored using access-controlled Microsoft 365 systems and is available only to authorised people who need it for research recruitment. Identifiable information will only be shared with a research agency, client or supplier where necessary and clearly explained for the relevant project. We do not sell participant lists or use research registration for disguised sales or marketing.
YOUR RIGHTS
You may request access to or correction of your information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing where applicable, request deletion, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. To exercise your rights, email natalie@bakerwoodresearch.com.
AGE AND SAFEGUARDING
The general participant panel is available only to UK residents aged 18 or over. Research involving children, vulnerable participants or sensitive data requires separate consent and safeguarding processes.
RESEARCH INVITATIONS AND INCENTIVES
